Religious Education
Pupils explore different religions and evaluate what they have learnt, thinking about personal reflections. Through enquiry based learning, pupils acquire and develop knowledge and understanding of the world faiths and principal religions represented in Great Britain. They will be able to raise questions and reflect on religion, life and moral choices.
We follow the Enfield SACRE (Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education) curriculum by using “Discovery RE” to support planning and delivery of an engaging RE curriculum. Lessons are introduced with a “Big Question” which focuses on areas like special people, places, times and stories. Teachers use this enquiry approach to explore six of the world’s principal religions – Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Sikhism and Buddhism.
