Transfer to secondary school

This occurs at the end of Year 6 in the Junior School when your child has reached eleven years of age.

A full information booklet is available online to parents of Year 6 pupils during the Autumn Term, together with guidance of how to apply online.

Parents are advised to check for further details of open evenings on the individual schools websites before going along. The websites will contain lots of other important information.

Most secondary schools arrange induction sessions during the summer term for pupils about to visit. Also, most heads of Year 7 visit the school to meet their prospective pupils and receive information from our staff. The school works closely with local secondary schools in order to ensure that pupils feel confident and optimistic about this important change in their lives.
