Music

Pupils are encouraged to develop a love of music across a range of historical periods, genres and traditions, including the works of a diverse range of composers and musicians. This is encouraged through our composer of the half-term where we explore pieces from a range of genres.  As pupils progress they will develop the skills to compose, listen and respond using subject specific vocabulary.  Pupils learn to sing, compose (using music technology) and use their voices appropriately. Students have the opportunity in lower KS2 to play the Recorder and Ukulele.

The composer for the second half term of the Spring term is Yiannis Chryssolmallis.
