Respect Assemblies

At our assemblies today, teachers looked at our value for this half-term which is ‘RESPECT’.  Here are a few quotes from our pupils about what respect means to them:

Respect means being kind and treating people with empathy - if everyone treated each other with respect, the world would be a better place. (Rebecca)

Respect is a great virtue because it shows people how much you appreciate them. (Andrei)

It’s important to think about respect as we prepare for secondary school - people will want to be friends with someone who is respectful and it makes a good first impression. (Kaelin)

Respect should be mutual and not just towards adults. Everyone deserves respect. It doesn’t matter what your background is. (Maryama)

I’m going to show respect by making sure that everyone is heard in our conversations at break time. (Hazel)

I’m going to show respect by helping to leave the dining hall tidy because I respect our school and our school community. (Danuta)
