Pupils are taught a wide range of physical activities and sports. Physical Education helps to develop pupils’ understanding of respect and fairness as values in both a sporting environment and everyday life. Teaching will equip pupils to explore cross-curricular links with science by showing an understanding of the importance of leading a healthy and active lifestyle and the impact these choices have on the body and mind. Throughout the year, pathways are provided to allow pupils to participate in competitive sporting events, allowing pupils to build character and resilience. Pupils are engaged in active lunchtimes supported by adults trained in active play (PEDAL) and pupil sports advisers.
