The New Normal
Following her ‘Just Supposing…’ poem in the first edition of The Hatch, Cheryl Moskowitz has been working on a new collection of poetry, The Corona Collection – A Conversation.
The poems focus on children’s experiences and ways of coping during lockdown, what they have been missing most and what they want the world to look like after Coronavirus.
Cheryl spoke to as many different children, parents and teachers as she could and many of these were from Carterhatch Junior School. As a result of this our Year 6 pupils were given an exciting opportunity to take part in very small group “bubble” workshops with Cheryl to explore some of the poems and make a film of the children’s responses and ideas.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Cheryl for letting Carterhatch be part of such a momentous and worthwhile project. Click here to see her Tweet about how impressed she was with ‘The New Normal’ poem.
